In vivo study | Treatment with IQ1 reduced the size of the lungs of the mouse embryo as well as the number of its branches. Despite inhibition of the distal branches of the lung, IQ1 elongated its proximal airway in E14.5 mouse embryos, suggesting that IQ1 is not just a growth inhibition. The treatment of IQ1 was carried out from E9.9, and the treatment was continued for 3 days, and IQ1 inhibited the branching. IQ1 leads to airway dilation, reduced mesenchymal cell density, and can also affect the development of the cardiovascular system. Its treatment resulted in a decrease in distal gene expression and an increase in proximal gene expression in lung transplant tissue. |
